Performer with the Dutch National Opera & Ballet
Introducing Flory Curescu, former student at Studio Simoncini and currently involved in several projects with Dutch National Opera & Ballet.
Flory graduated as a performing dancer from Codarts. She has performed with dance companies such as De Stilte, Samadhi Dance Company, and Lonneke van Leth Dans, and collaborated with numerous choreographers in both the Netherlands and Belgium. Flory has also appeared in several opera productions with Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, the Dutch National Touring Opera, and Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam.
At Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, she participated in the production Age of Rage by Ivo van Hove and Wim Vandekeybus, performing in Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Paris.
Flory is currently involved in several projects with Dutch National Opera & Ballet. She performed the role of “Vrouwtje Jas” in the dance production Mannetje Jas by Wubkje Kuindersma, which will be reprised this year. Additionally, she and her partner choreographed a pas de deux for the educational project Dance With Your Class.
Films: The Conductor and Sisyphus
Beyond her work in theater, Flory appeared in the films The Conductor and Sisyphus at Work. She was also featured in the award-winning short dance film Expose. Her versatility as a performer has taken her to diverse stages, from the high-energy events of Defqon.1 to the classical Top 400 concert broadcast by NPO Radio 4.
