Dress Code

● Leotard of choice (no fluorescent colors or busy prints).
● Pink leg tights.
● Pink ballet shoes in the same color as your tights.
● Hair pulled back from the face and secured firmly with hair pins and a hair net in a bun. Bun help
● No visible undergarments should be worn under leotards and tights.
● A short ballet skirt is optional. Just keep it no longer than mid-thigh.

BOYS
● Fitted short sleeve ballet-shirt of choice no fluorescent colors or busy prints
● Black ballet legging (dancebelt is mandatory from age 11).
● White balletshoes with elastic over the instep.
● Long hair must be pinned up or tied back with a band.

GENERAL
Clothes and shoes are clean and frays and holes must be mended.
Dancers may not wear loose-fitting clothing, pants, or ankle warmers, it must be possible to see the function of the muscles and the placement of the body.

WATER BOTTLES
Bring a small easy to store bottle (under 1 liter). Only water is allowed in the studio. No lemonade or other drinks, to protect the floor. Large bottles are not permitted.

SAFETY
Large earrings, loose jewelry, long (false) nails or pointed nails are not suitable for safety reasons.

CLASSICAL REPERTOIRE
Pink leg tights and leotard of your own choice however no fluorescent colors or busy prints. For classical repertoire it is a good idea to bring a ballet skirt of your own choice or a rehearsal tutu.

MODERN/CHOREOGRAPHY
Footless black tights or leggings and leotard or tight shirt.

BARRE
When joining online ballet you’ll need something to use as a barre, a chair, table or door at the height of your elbow. Or check online for a mobile barre at Bol.com or Costway . Find a luxury barre by Harlequin.

STABLE CHAIR
For certain exercises you’ll need a stable chair that you can sit on.

BE VISIBLE
Use a simple clip on wide angle lens, available at Bol.com. The lens will give your ipad/laptop a wider angle of view making it easy to be visible from head to toe during online class.
