Choreographer and ballet master, Mecklenburg State Theater Ballett X Schwerin
Coming to the Netherlands this Summer especially to teach at Summerschool den Haag; Jonathan dos Santos. He is currently ballet master, choreographer and choreographic assistant of the international company: Ballett X Schwerin, under the direction of Xenia Wiest.
The Brazilian received his dance training in several schools in Brazil and at the Pacific Dance Arts in Vancouver (Canada) under the direction of Li Yaming, and at the RNB Dance Theater Arts.
INTERNATIONAL DANCE CAREER
His dance career took him from the Sao José dos Campos company (Brazil) to the Ballet Nordhausen, the Ballet Rossa of the Halle Opera and the Gauthier Dance in Stuttgart. His repertoire includes works by renowned choreographers: Marco Goecke, Hofes Shechter, Mauro Bigonzetti, Nanine Linning, Hans van Manen, Itzik Galili, Cayetano Soto and Ohad Naharin.
WORKSHOP at SUMMERSCHOOL DEN HAAG
This Summer Jonathan will teach a two-day choreography workshop. The dance language is based on the classical technique that integrates neoclassical and contemporary influences.
As a choreographer, Jonathan has created works for the Karlsruhe Ballet, the Sao Paulo Dance Company and Gauthier Dance and has worked with soloists from the Berlin State Ballet, the Vienna State Ballet and the Stuttgart Ballet.
